Catering for drill rigs, industry, residential communities, sport clubs and supply of catering staff to military units.

Immediately after Saudi Arabia's construction boom came a requirement to mobilize operation and maintenance (O&M) skills. Xenel responded in 1980 by formation of Xenel Maintenance Ltd. (XML).

Subsequently, Xenel formed Saudi Services & Operating Company (SSOC), originally to cater for the extensive combined needs of Abdul Aziz Air Base and International Airport at Dhahran: a responsibility the company subsequently held for 16 years. The two companies have since secured many projects Kingdomwide. XML concentrates mainly on fulfilling the requirements of private clients and those with specialist needs, and SSOC on the O&M of major infrastructures.

In 1983, Saudi Arabia Morrison was formed to provide large scale catering and housekeeping services. The company changed its name to Al Karam Al Arabi (Al Karam) in 1995 with no change in ownership or capital. Al Karam's services continue to be provided in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. More recently, the company has also secured contracts in Qatar and Oman.

In 2000, it was decided that XML, SSOC and Al Karam could benefit by sharing overhead support services. To effect this decision the Arabian Services Group (ASG) was formed to fulfill this "umbrella" function.

It is noted that ASG has recently commenced certain operations in its own right, e.g. the company has formed a property division, also certain O & M operations are also carried out by Resource Services Arabia Ltd., as separately reported in the brochure.
